John G. LaBrie, dean of the School of Professional Studies (SPS) and associate provost for professional education, has announced the recipients of this year’s awards for outstanding SPS graduate students and faculty. These awards are normally revealed during Commencement activities but, due to current social distancing limitations, have been awarded virtually.

Voices of youth hope to influence climate policy on world stage
“Climate change is a defining issue of our time,” says Kortni Wroten. The Clark University graduate student, pursuing a dual MBA/master’s in environmental science and policy, recently returned from the UN’s Climate Change Conference (COP25) in Madrid, where she and twelve fellow graduate students observed negotiations, networked, and engaged with climate groups and activists from all over the world — including Swedish teen Greta Thunberg.

GIS graduate students to intern with Model UN Impact

Clark doctoral student awarded prestigious Switzer Environmental Fellowship
Janae Davis, a doctoral student in Clark’s Graduate School of Geography, has been awarded a 2019 Switzer Environmental Fellowship from the Robert and Patricia Switzer Foundation. Davis is one of 20 environmental leaders from graduate schools in New England and California who received the fellowship based on their leadership accomplishments, leadership potential, and commitment to environmental protection, innovation, and applied outcomes.
